Tamarind – Dried comes as dried pieces with a tangy-sweet, complex, fruity flavor that is rehydrated and blended into a pulp or paste. It is a base for pad thai and other Thai and Southeast Asian sauces, for Indian chutneys and curries, for Mexican agua de tamarindo and candies, and for Caribbean drinks and sauces. Because it rehydrates on demand, kitchens and manufacturers can produce tamarind flavor as each batch needs it.
Ordering is bulk only. Quantities start at 50 lb, with no upper limit, and are quoted at the day's market cost. Orders leave our Los Angeles warehouse by pallet, truckload or container, or you can collect on weekdays between 7am and 3pm. Add Tamarind – Dried to your quote and we will confirm pricing.
