About Italian Herbs & Spices

Italian-American kitchens go through oregano, basil and garlic faster than anything else: marinara, pizza sauce, meatballs and garlic bread. Fennel seed is the flavor of Italian sausage and porchetta. Rosemary, thyme and bay leaf season roast chicken and braises, nutmeg goes into béchamel and ricotta fillings, and anise seed into pizzelle and biscotti. Cranberry beans (borlotti) make pasta e fagioli, and pine nuts go into pesto.

Use whole-leaf oregano, basil and rosemary for sauces and roasts, and the ground versions for sausage and dry blends. Italian seasoning and tomato powder suit seasoning lines. Minimum order is 50 lb per product. Collect from our dock at 746 Merchant St, Los Angeles, Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm, or take delivery within LA. Outside Los Angeles, your own freight carrier collects from the dock.
